I began my journey as a therapist in 2020 and qualified in 2024. My commitment to being the best therapist for you starts with being the best version of myself, which is why I engage in regular CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training. This ongoing learning ensures that my practice is current and that I can effectively support you through a wide range of experiences.
Before becoming a therapist, I gained valuable experience working in various healthcare settings, including the NHS, private care, elderly care, and charity roles. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion and Public Health. Additionally, I am a Dementia Friend, a role that involves understanding dementia from the perspective of those living with the condition and turning that understanding into meaningful action.
I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, working closely with my clients to create a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. My approach is integrative and holistic, incorporating a variety of evidence-based practices, including psychodynamic teachings, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, art therapy, somatic techniques, and psychology. I work with adults, couples, young people, and children, specialising in areas such as childhood trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and life transitions.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to high standards of proficiency, professionalism, and ethical practice. This membership reflects my dedication to providing quality care and upholding the integrity of the therapeutic process. I hope that my collaborative and compassionate approach ensures you feel heard, understood, and supported every step of the way.
